Many of you are part of our Business School program and have joined us for our live Friday Night Zoom calls - but many of you haven’t ever gathered with us.  We’d love to “meet” you in a very fun, casual atmosphere.

In this live Zoom event, we will unpack:

 • What the Right to Repair movement actually is

 • What it is not

 • How it affects home sewists and independent technicians

 • Why sewing machines are increasingly impacted

 • How industries like agriculture (think the John Deere controversy) paved the way

 • The legal and cultural challenges we are facing

 • What collective action looks like in a sewing context

 • The official role and proposal of Sewing Doc Academy in this movement

This is about understanding the forces shaping our industry so we can respond intelligently, professionally, and collectively.

If you are a home sewist who wants confidence and access, this matters to you.  If you are building a service business or considering technician work as income or retirement, this matters even more.
