Hands on training in Las Vegas!

More details are coming, but here's what we know

For the first time in trade association history you are invited to live, hands-on training at the trade show in February!  We don't have all the details just yet, but as I have them, I will update this page.  I want to make sure you have as much information as possible to decide if you want to attend and to make plans.

Where:

All training and programs will be hosted at the Horseshoe (used to be Bally's, connected to the Paris resort).  A block of rooms will be reserved at a discounted rate (see below), but you do NOT have to stay at this hotel.

Who:

Anyone that wants to learn basic service maintenance skills on modern machines, and/or timing adjustments.

You do not have to be working for or associated with a dealer, and you do not need business credentials to register.

How:

Sewing machines will be provided by one of the manufacturers so that everyone is working with the same machine.  Tools and materials will also be provided, and tool kits will be available for purchase (we can ship them to your home after training).

There will be some learning materials for you to take home with you, and we will have virtual learning programs discounted for enrollment so that we can continue to provide training and assistance after the event.

Other Information:

There is a kick off party event on the evening of February 12, you will be able to attend and meet others in the industry.  Usually a snack buffet and two drink tickets are provided for the event.

We (Sewing Doc Academy) will be organizing a casual meetup for our students and those that come to attend training, most likely on February 13.

You are also welcome to attend the trade show portion, which is February 13-15.  There are other shorter learning sessions on the 13th & 14th that you can attend, but they are not hands-on learning.  You can walk through the entire trade show in about 2 hours.

Here is some more information direct from the VDTA/SDTA website:
